 Doesn't Hold Up Jul 07, 2009
This product is terrible. I bought 4 boards for a family trip to the beach with my 2 sons and 2 nephews. After 3 days at the beach, only 1 of them continued to hold air. This was after standard usage -- no standing or jumping on them, just boarding in the surf. Holes and tears are not covered by the warranty, so they were basically worthless. A 75% failure rate is, in my opinion, simply awful. Also, one of the leashes broke apart on the first day; the plastic coil piece snapped into several fragments. In the end, I don't know why I bothered buying them. Cheap foam boards would have been more durable and fun and MUCH less expensive.

We bought one of these last year for our 10 year old son and it was awesome! We were concerned because it didn't have the cover but it was absolutely perfect.Also, the folks at Ripitup were unbelievable to work with! We e-mailed them with our concerns about the quality of this Surfster and they were back in touch with us within 24 hours explaining everything.We've now bought a Surfster S3 for our nephew for his first trip to the Caribbean! Thank you Ripitup for being such a great company and offering such an awesome product! You need to advertise these boards in travel magazines because everyone's so amazed by them when they see them. We always send them to Ripitup.Thanks, Bob and Anne
