Wobbly Sep 25, 2009 If you are looking for a pool basketball set I'm sure you have seen the really nice $200 - $300 ones that sit on the side of the pool and are just like a regular basketball set up with a normal sized ball and backboard. This isn't one of those. This is a water filled plastic base with a wobbly plastic pole connected to an undersized plastic backboard with a ball about 50% regular size. Is it fun? Kinda. Do I wish I had just waited and got a good one? Yes.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not a pool toy hater. We've got a whole bunch of different ones - the torpedo thing (fun and durable), the timer thingy you dive after (fun) and an assortment of floaties, balls, squirt guns, etc. I had high hopes for this game but I decided on the cheap route - bad plan. There is no way this could handle a spirited game where you are driving to the hole and want to mix it up a bit off the glass. In other words what you would buy a poolside basketball set for in the first place.
If you have very little ones maybe this would be choice to consider otherwise save your money and buy a good one.
