Kept my electronics dry - it works! Jul 13, 2010
I initially bought this for my Kindle, but just returned from a trip to the Western Caribbean where we used this while snorkeling. We put everything in it - passports, wallets, cell phones and camera, and everything remained dry even while submerged. I wanted to be sure on this trip to take passports everywhere when we left the cruise ship - just in case...

It was such a good idea to have it. We could snorkel with the tour guide or on our own without having to worry about where our stuff was and who was holding it.

The bag floats on the water while you're under it. It gets hot in the sun, and a little moisture gathers because of that, but everything kept dry for the 1.5 hours or more that we used it at a time. Just to be safe I put the passports & cell phone in an extra ziploc bag inside the bigger bag. But it would have been ok as-is.

I highly recommend it for peace of mind & safety for your stuff!

I recently purchased a Kindle2i and wanted to take it with me on vacation. This is a very secure way of keeping sand and water away, while tossing in a silica gel pack to control humidity. I also purchased the alligator wallet and 9x12 multi-purpose nylon case, both of which I'm also happy with.

This is larger than I had thought, but was great for keeping big things (cell phone, wallet, car key, book, t-shirt) all dry at the same time.

I bought mine back in March, so that I could take my Kindle 2 poolside on a cruise my family and I were taking. The Quik Pak 9X12 fit the Kindle 2 perfectly (even with a folded back cover attached). It was easy to read through, and the buttons worked marvelously. The only hassle was accessing the on switch whenever I would let too much time pass and the Kindle went back into sleep mode. Not a big hassle, because beyond this minor bugaboo, the Quik Pak did its job perfectly. It allowed me to read by the pool without a moments hesitation or worry about ruining my Kindle with water damage.

When my iPad arrived in May, it occurred to me that perhaps this very same size Quik Pak would be the right size for an iPad.

It worked and I couldn't be happier.

A naked iPad (sans cover) fits like a glove. I've been able to enjoy my iPad in the hot tub without a moments concern as the bubbles roil. I know this sounds pretty geeky indulgent but I admit that I've even taken the iPad into the shower and watched videos while shampooing. The touch screen works extremely well through the plastic. You have 100% to all controls including volume, the on switch, the orientation switch, and of course the home button. While inside a sealed QuikPak 9X12, the iPad unit itself is completely protected at all times from water damage, even while under the direct splashing from the shower. Amazing!

Just remember to dry it off with a towel before opening and disengaging the Dry Pak lock switches.

I know there are a number of other water proof case products for iPad that are soon to hit the market. I can't imagine any being better than this one.

This waterproof case works great for the BN Nook and I can even leave my Nook Cover on it, because there is plenty of room inside the plastic case.. The buttons function just great right through the plastic, including the power button and touch screen.
